North Georgia Health District Announces Weather-Related Closure for Monday, Feb. 2:
North Georgia — As a precaution due to anticipated hazardous weather conditions across North Georgia, all North Georgia Health District 1-2 (NGHD) public health offices will be closed on Monday, February 2, 2026, to help ensure the safety of staff and the communities we serve.
The closure applies to all public health services in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield counties, including the District office, County Health Departments, Environmental Health offices, WIC services, and Child Health programs. The Living Bridge Center clinics located in Canton, Dalton, and Gainesville will also be closed.
Operational updates, delayed openings, and any changes to services will be communicated through the North Georgia Health District website at www.nghd.org.
The North Georgia Health District appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as it prioritizes community safety during severe weather conditions and encourages residents to take appropriate precautions.

North Georgia — Due to anticipated hazardous weather conditions across North Georgia, and out of an abundance of caution, all North Georgia Health District public health offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, to help ensure the safety of our staff and the communities we serve.
This closure includes:
- The North Georgia Health District office in Dalton
- All public health facilities and services in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, and Whitfield counties
- County health departments
- Environmental Health offices
- WIC services
- The Living Bridge Center clinics in Canton, Dalton, and Gainesville
All updates regarding our office closings or delayed openings will be posted to our district website at www.nghd.org.
